Brief Biography

  • Francisco das Chagas de Souza was born in São Luís, MA, Brazil. He received the B.S. degree (monograph title: Propagation of Ionospheric Waves) and M.Sc. degree (dissertation title: A Proposal to Design of Robust Controllers Via Multilevel Optimization) in electrical engineering from the Federal University of Maranhão (UFMA), São Luís, Brazil. In 2012, he received the Doctoral degree in electrical engineering at the Federal University of Santa Catarina (UFSC), Florianópolis, Brazil. Part of his research work has been carried out in the LINSE-Circuits and Signal Processing Laboratory of UFSC.

  • He is now with the Department of Electrical Engineering (DEEE) at UFMA. His research interests include adaptive signal processing theory and its applications.
