Brief Biography

Francisco das Chagas de Souza was born in São Luís, MA, Brazil. He received the B.S. degree (monograph title: Propagation of Ionospheric Waves) and M.Sc. degree (dissertation title: A Proposal to Design Robust Controllers Via Multilevel Optimization) in electrical engineering from the Federal University of Maranhão (UFMA - Universidade Federal do Maranhão), São Luís, Brazil. In 2012, he received the Doctoral degree in electrical engineering at the Federal University of Santa Catarina (UFSC), Florianópolis, Brazil. He is now with the Department of Electrical Engineering (DEEE) at UFMA. His research work has been carried out in the Laboratory of Adaptive Systems and Signal Processing (LSAPS - Laboratório de Sistemas Adaptativos e Processamento de Sinais) at UFMA and his research interests include adaptive signal processing theory and applications.
